The Health Sciences Center provides new classrooms， la ho rat ones， faculty offices， and administrative space for the College of Pharmacy and 1 leallh Sciences， and the College of Nursing of I ong Island University， ‘n addition， several large lecture rooms for use by the entire university are located in the building. The corner site serves as a major pedestrian and vehicular entrance to the campus. The new building， a southern gateway to the campus， is flanked by a new gate and guard kiosk. Included in the program are six stories of programmed spate， a rooftop penthouse， and a partial basement which contains mechanical systems. University lecture rooms are located on the first floor， with the building lobby， primary entrance， and elevators at the north， facing the courtyard.
